Shrinking Fullness in the Shoulder?

Hi Reza, thanks for another great video. I fully appreciate and understand what you said about not putting fullness in the shoulder, but what is the situation when tailors shrink the fullness they put in? Is there any merit to this approach?

Given that so many tailors do this, and the end results usually look fine, I'm guessing that after shrinking the fullness, the cloth still moulds/conforms naturally to the shape of the shoulder? Perhaps it has a little more 'give'/ease though? Or is this shrinking merely fixing a problem that they needlessly created?

Just curious.
