Making a tailoring board

You explained about your tailoring board in lesson 1 - I was wondering how thick the felt should be that covers the board, please?

Good idea. I would opt for the 3 if it's firm. If it's softer, go for the 5mm. It will flatten over time. If the felt is too thick, your work will be over-pressed as the fabric sinks into the felt by the weight of the iron and can potentially imprint the seam allowances onto the fabric/lining.
