Materials and Syllabus

I already have many of the materials that you outlined in your lesson but there are a few items that I still need to find. So I went to the local quilting shop to see what they have. Not much to tell you the truth. They do sell cotton batting in various weights. It is basically a light, fluffy cotton felt. Is that the same as the cotton wadding used for shoulder pads and sleeve heads? Would a lighter version be a suitable replacement for domette? I bought some once and remember it being very loosely woven, not like the brushed cottons used for shirts and such. Would any brushed cotton do?

I was also looking for a mark stitching thread with little luck. What weight (or is the thread that you offer in your Purple Box? I have some 30 wt cotton thread but it tightly twisted and smooth and doesn't like to stay put.

Lastly, I am wondering if you might provide us with a syllabus? A road map of sorts. I imagine that you have a vision for how all of this will play out, I like the big picture too.

As always, thanks

Any Italian shop recommendations? I've found one online shop but with a minimum order of €150, it wouldn't be convenient for when I only need to top up material supplies
