Hi Reza
Info please... is the traditional jacket for a man or woman? Is there a picture of both the traditional and the pagoda jacket so that we can see what the finished version might look like? It's quite hard deciding what to do when i can't really picture what the end result might be. Or have I missed a vital post or YouTube video somewhere along the line (very possible). Thank you
Does the pattern that comes with the box have various sizes or will it only fit your personal measurements? I am quite a different size to you. I still think the course is amazing but I would love to have something to wear at the end. Is this covered somewhere I have yet to get to in the videos?
Thanks for this great project - amazing content and just looking for clarity, not complaining :)
Will we have an opportunity to see how you created the pattern using your measurements and methodology?Just so we understand your approach and reasoning in the development of the jacket. Followed by draping, fitting issues, and pattern modifications.
Hello Sara,
Both jackets are base on my personal pattern. You can see the reason for this in the FAQ below each box once you choose a model:
"The pattern included for these lessons is Reza's personal pattern.
We want you to follow the lessons with a pattern that we know works.
Using your own pattern may create problems that we have no control over, which can undermine your learning experience.
Learning how to make a jacket can be overwhelming. Adding the pattern making process to it can be disastrous. The effective student takes one step at a time. In our experience, the fastest route to mastering this beautiful craft is to first focus on making a jacket with a well made pattern that isn't yours. This will eliminate any distractions that you otherwise would have when working with your personal pattern.
We also want you to experience what it's like to make something for a "customer". Your approach will be very different. You will activate other parts of your brain. Your personal wishes and preferences will be turned off and you will concentrate on the techniques and not the likelihood of the jacket fitting you or you eventually wearing it. You will focus on becoming technically proficient.
To increase the value of this process, we will hold periodical reviews. These are optional. You can send your work to us at a small fee and we can give you personal feedback. You will see your work on Reza and he will evaluate what you've done well and most importantly, what you can improve and how. More info on this service will be available soon."
We will soon have a video with how the jackets look on me and what to expect moving forwards.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
I'd be glad to help as much as I can :)
All the best,
Reza
